Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Review

Disney World has five value resorts on property. The most recently built property in this class is Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Noted for their cost efficiency, value resorts achieve lower price points by offering a less developed theme, smaller rooms and fewer amenities. This is our Disney’s Art of Animation Resort review, where we cover all of these items, including the theme, general setup of the resort, the rooms and if we think the resort offers value that is worth considering. As per usual, we’ll have several pictures to accompany our review of Art of Animation Resort.

Here in our Landscape of Flavors review, we'll tell you about the setup of the serving stations and breakfast and lunch/dinner.

Landscape of Flavors Review

The norm with all of the value resorts at Disney World is to have one dining option. These dining options are food courts, which allows the value resorts to cater to a wide array of taste preferences. The food court at Disney’s Art of Animation resort is called Landscape of Flavors and this is our review of it.

As we have been making a tour of the Disney World value resorts, we have noted many similarities among the food courts as far as menu selection, layout, and basic décor. Just as we feel Art of Animation is a “step-up” in the quality of a value resort, we feel like Landscape of Flavors is superior to the various food courts we have encountered.

Mermaid School at Disney World Review

Starting this summer, Disney World has a new offering that will appeal to kids that feel they are destined to swim in the sea with Ariel and her friends. Known as Mermaid School at Disney World, your little ones can learn to swim like a mermaid or merman, if the boys so choose. We surprised Anna and Elsa with a session on a recent trip, so we thought we’d write a Mermaid School at Disney World review for those of you that are interested.

As part of our review, we’ll give you the 411 on the cost, locations, and other basics of Mermaid School at Disney World. We’ll then dive into (no pun intended) this unique experience, walking you through what all the “class” involves. This will include picture as usual, but we also took some video of it too so you can see what it is like.

Storybook Dining at Artist Point Review

Storybook Dining is the character dinner offered at the beautiful Artist Point restaurant at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. This is a coveted ADR right now as this meal offers some character interactions that aren’t offered anywhere else. The characters at this meal are Snow White, Grumpy, Dopey and the Evil Queen, although don’t tell her that she’s evil! While Snow White can be found in many other locations around the World, Grumpy, Dopey and the Evil Queen do not meet with any regularity outside of special events or parties. Due to the opportunity to meet and interact with these beloved dwarfs and a renowned Disney villain, this meal is extremely popular.

Roaring Fork Review

Disney World’s Roaring Fork is a counter service restaurant that serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the day. Located within Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, it is the main counter service location for the resort. Here in our Roaring Fork review, we’re going to do things a little different today. Usually we have reviews of a restaurant that focus on either breakfast or lunch/dinner. However, we actually ate here for both meals on our trip, so we’re going to combine the meals into one supersized Roaring Fork review.

The large Pop Century sign greets news ariving vistors.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort Review

Disney’s Pop Century Resort is one of five value resorts within Disney World. Noted for their cost efficiency, value resorts achieve lower price points by offering a less developed theme, smaller rooms and fewer amenities. Here in our Disney’s Pop Century Resort review, we’ll cover all of these items, including the theme, general setup of the resort, rooms and if we think the resort offers value that is worth considering. We’ll also provide some comparisons of Pop Century to other Disney value resorts. And of course, we’ll have several pictures to accompany our review of Pop Century Resort.

Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show Review

Disney World has a knack for providing some unexpected experiences around their many themed resorts. They do try and keep on theme. The level of execution that goes into some of these experiences is a bit all over the place in our experience. During a recent stay at the Polynesian Village Resort we decided to check out Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show. Here in our Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show review, we’ll recap out thoughts on the show and dinner, peppering in photos and maybe a little video along the way.

Here you can see Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny at Disney World.

Easter at Disney World

One of the most popular holidays to visit Disney World is Easter. In fact, if you look at ticket prices, you’ll find the week around Easter to be one of the more expensive times of the year. While Easter at Disney World is fun and there are some festive things that they do for the holiday, we certainly don’t consider it anywhere close to what Disney World does for Halloween or Christmas. Not even close.

Here in our guide to Easter at Disney World, we’ll fill you in on what to expect from a crowd perspective, the special happenings, and any other random musings that come to mind.

The best part of our Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Review is the experience you can have along the boardwalk at night.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Review

When it comes to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, this deluxe level resort certainly knows the number one rule of real estate. Location, location, location… But a prime location doesn’t necessarily mean it is a great resort. Here in on Disney’s BoardWalk Inn review we’ll go in depth on the theming, food, amenities and more to get at if we believe this a resort worth your consideration.
