Sanaa Review

Mike and I recently celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. Thanks to my parents (aka Donald and Daisy), we were able to take a kids-free, long weekend trip to Disney World.

We tried to take advantage of this opportunity and hit up some restaurants that may not be as appealing to Anna and Elsa. I have been dying to try Sanaa for years. Just reading about the bread service with the dipping sauces and spreads was enough to capture my interest, but the chance to order creative entrees with flavors we don’t normally get to try sealed the deal.

Ample Hills Creamery is a fun little ice cream shop nestled on the BoardWalk of Disney World’s Crescent Lake.

Ample Hills Creamery Review

Nestled on the BoardWalk of Disney World’s Crescent Lake is a fun little creamery that boasts some unique flavors of ice cream. Here in our Ample Hills Creamery review, we’ll walk through some of the interesting aspects of this dessert shop that make it a little more unique. We’ll cover Carla’s gluten free experience at Ample Hills and of course, we’ll have a few pictures of ice cream.

At Disney's All Star Sports your dining option is limited to the End Zone Food Court.

End Zone Food Court Review

The norm with all of the value resorts at Disney World is to have one dining option. These dining options are food courts, which allows the value resorts to cater to a wide array of taste preferences. Within the confines of Disney’s All Star Sports, the food court option is known as End Zone Food Court.

Normally when you’re talking counter service food court dining, you might think that that the options are going to be cheap and bland. In this case of End Zone Food Court, you’re right and you’re wrong. Very definitive isn’t that? Let me explain.

Disney's All Star Sports is one of five value resorts in all of Disney World.

Disney’s All Star Sports Resort Review

Disney’s All Star Sports Resort is one of five value resorts within Disney World. Noted for their cost efficiency, value resorts achieve lower price points by offering a less developed theme, smaller rooms and fewer amenities. Here in our Disney’s All Star Sports Resort review, we’ll cover all of these items, including the theme, general setup of the resort, rooms and if we think the resort offers a value worth considering. As usual, we’ll have several pictures to accompany our review of All Star Sports Resort.

One of several fine dining meal options, California Grill is a fabulous restraunt, made better by it's view of Magic Kingdom.

California Grill Dinner Review

Early in our marriage, I convinced Mike to spend a few nights at Disney World so I could share my love of the World and show him that Disney World can be a grown-up experience too. Along with two rounds of golf and a visit to the spa, I sought out some of the more refined dining experiences that Disney World has to offer. One of the meals we chose was California Grill, and after our first truly exceptional experience, it became almost a tradition to visit it on each trip.

Best of the Disney World Internet – February 2019

Welcome to the next installment of a monthly series we post. This is a bit of a recap post. We spend a lot of time reading and watching videos about Disney World to stay up on the latest news and trends. And maybe, just because there’s some fun in it for us! We call this series, the “Best of the Disney World Internet” and this is our February 2019 recap.

A view of the Polynesian Village resort rooms.

Polynesian Village Resort Room Review

Within the confines of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort there are a handful of different rooms available. While the rooms may be slightly different, they all have two important common traits. First, they are at one of the best themed resorts in all of Disney World. Second, they all come with a hefty price tag. Given that, we think you have an easy choice of which room you should book if you stay at this resort. But everything is in the eye of the beholder, so we’ll do a more detailed Polynesian Village Resort room review in this post.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Review

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Disney World is a deluxe level resort that is themed in a Polynesian style. At least a 1970s era style. That’s not to suggest the resort is dated, far from it actually. As we’ll discuss more here in our Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Review, the theming around the resort is some of the best we have experienced at Disney World.

Disney World Restaurant Reviews

Did you know there are over 300 restaurants in all of Disney World? And if you split some of the different meals in the restaurants, there are lots of variations!

This is essentially a catalog of all our Disney World restaurant reviews. You won’t find a lot of detail and information on this particular page. The details are in the individual reviews. Our restaurant reviews feature pictures of the restaurants and food, coupled with our thoughts on the food, overall experience, atmosphere and if we think the restaurant is a compelling enough value to make it worth it to eat at.
