It’s Been One Week…And Boy Has Disney World Dropped Lots of Reopening News!

I hope you enjoyed our Barenaked Ladies reference in the title. I think that song has lyrics that, in some way, reference the relationship of Disney World and its guests. Mostly the opening stanza. If you aren’t familiar with it, the song starts like this:
It’s been one week since you looked at me
Cocked your head to the side
and said I’m angry
Five days since you laughed at me saying
Get that together come back and see me

Maybe I’m reading too much into it. I do find it similar, though. I think Disney World fans are feeling a wide array of emotions about the park reopening now. Laughing and angry may be just two of them, but it probably covers the range of emotions.

Well, if yesterday’s news about the reopening of Walt Disney World wasn’t enough, Disney quietly dropped more news today. Unfortunately, much of what they let out is not going to sit well with pretty much anyone and create more anxiety and problems. Let’s go through what they announced in this post from Disney Parks Blog.

Disney World Reopening Plan Details Announced

On Wednesday, Disney World representatives went before the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force and presented their plan for reopening the parks. During the virtual meeting, Walt Disney World Senior Vice President of Operations Jim McPhee provided details on their reopening plan. Additionally, Disney World issued a press release with additional information about the opening of the parks. In this post, we’ll cover everything of note that was released today on the Disney World reopening plans.
