As you might guess, the Honey Bee-stro is an outdoor kitchen focused on dishes with honey as an ingredient. I’m not sure I would say the food here showcases honey in all instances, but every item has it as a component. The outdoor kitchen is part of the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. Situated in the back of the Italy pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase, you’ll find a pizza shop that we think you absolutely need to visit. Via Napoli serves up traditional Neapolitan pizzas that are as authentic Italian as you will find in all of Disney World, if not much of the United States. Disney World literally goes the extra mile to make Via Napoli authentic by importing ingredients directly from Italy. Finally!!! Yes, Finally, Disney World has released the full list of outdoor kitchens that will serve up tasty creations at the 2020 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. In this post we’ll share all the details with you, except price. Disney World has not released that year. We may have to get those when we are there in a few weeks.
As temperatures start to climb and spring gets closer and closer, you can count on the start of the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. We think this is the most beautiful time of year at Epcot. Yes, even better than Christmas. Thousands of flowers and their wonderful fragrance, combined with the smells of the various food booths around Epcot, creates a stimulating experience for your eyes and nose! As we discuss in our “About Us” page, I have developed a gluten sensitivity, probably due to my chronic health issues. As a result, I eat entirely gluten free. Disney World Dining handles food allergies and sensitivities amazingly well for how many people they are feeding every day. Here in our Epcot Food and Wine Festival Gluten Free Food review, we’ll give you our thoughts on all the gluten free dishes we ate at the festival.
For the Food and Wine Festival, certain food items are designated as “gluten friendly.” Unfortunately, they do not assign any other classifications like nuts or dairy, but each booth has a binder that you can consult that lists all of the ingredients.
The Chocolate Studio returns for another year of serving decadent chocolate delights at the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival. This booth is located in the “Culinary Corridor” in Future World West along the walkway into World Showcase. This is a high traffic area with a few great booths nearby. They include The Cheese Studio and the Wine and Dine Studio. Hawaii is not far away either. There are several high-top tables set up in the garden area between the booths. This is a picturesque area that we really enjoy during the Festival.
One of the long-time global marketplaces of the Epcot Food & Wine Festival is China. It made its debut in 1996 and has been serving up dishes since. Here in our China review, we’ll cover some of the items served here, complete with pictures and our thoughts on the food.
Given my family’s overall love for Mexican food, you can rest assured we were going to stop by the Mexico booth at the 2019 Epcot Food & Wine Festival. Tacos, enchiladas, mole, margaritas? Yes, sign us up, please! The Mexico booth had plenty that we wanted to try.
As we stop by the Mexico booth, we noticed one unique thing about the menu. That would be that the menu is entirely new this year. Not a single entrée from last year returns. I think Carla was particularly disappointed that the Coconut Rice Pudding did not. You can see the full Mexico booth menu below.
Inspired by our complete enjoyment of our meal at Jaleo, we decided to try all of the food offerings at the Spain global marketplace at the Food & Wine Festival. Spain is one of the relatively new booths at the festival, making its debut in 2017.
The Spain booth features two returning items and some modifications to the paella from last year. While we weren’t necessarily overwhelmed with excitement at the offerings, we were intrigued to try them. By the time we got to this booth I was pretty hungry and on the hunt for some gluten free items, which Spain does feature.
A staple of the Epcot Food & Wine Festival is the Canada booth. Introduced in 1996, you’ll find a limited menu of only two food items here. That doesn’t mean it isn’t worth checking out. This Canada review is a continuation of our 2019 Epcot Food & Wine Festival review series.
